Here's Becky posing in front of the beach across the street from the development. It's hard to tell, but the waves were quite large and strangely dirty. Not sure if the water ever clears up enough for a brave soul to test the frigid waters, but I sure wasn't planning on going in, especially with the unappetizing foam that skirted the advancing edge of the surf.

Looking back up the beach.

Me in front of Lake Quinalt. Most of the trails nearby were inaccessible because of the heavy snows, so we had to settle for the road tour. There was a chowder cook off at the nearby lodge, but we decided to stick with our PB&Js.

Another view of Lake Quinalt as we headed north along highway 101.

Becky and me on the giant piles of driftwood that wash up on the coast.

Looking south along the coast.

Some of the logs are quite colorful.

Giant Cedar tree near the coast in Olympic National Park (look closely for Becky's head).

Farther north along the coast in the park.

Becky with some of the sand dollars we collected along the beach which are now perched precariously on some beams in our apartment.

Becky showing off her pasta making acrobatics!
